Faithful Companion

We got Seymour from a pet store in Frazier, PA. The salesperson commented during checkout that “someone finally bought the crazy one.” That about summed him up.

A chaotic first year of settling in with a certified lunatic gave way to middle years of compassionate friendship — a beautiful companion who willingly welcomed each of our children into the household as they arrived. Then came a mellow later life as the family sentinel and a true best friend.

The last years were hard, but they were worth it for more time with my best friend. Rest in peace, Seymour. We all miss you and remember you.
